A Little About Me

As a military brat, I moved quite often, so I really can’t name just one place where I grew up. But I spent most of my school years in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. After graduation I went to undergraduate school at Huntingdon College in Montgomery on full academic scholarship, and then received two master’s degrees – one in English, the other in Secondary Education – from the University of Alabama at Huntsville a few years later. I completed my third master’s degree in Library Information Studies at the University of Alabama. Roll Tide! And now, I’m the resident Library Media Specialist at Bob Jones High School.

Not only am I the keeper of the books, but I’m the school’s webmaster, the technology guru, teacher of all things related to research, school store manager, spirit wear aficionado, and supervisor for all senior office aides. Oh yeah, I also teach the PSAT Invitational course here at Bob Jones grooming those National Merit Scholars Mr. Parker’s so proud of.   When I’m not researching the latest & greatest or creating instructional presentations and handouts, I’m reading picture books and YA novels, writing stories, cooking Southern-style, and watching Disney movies.
