Who Says Size Doesn’t Matter?

Funny what some Google searches lead me to find . . .

While working with a class on finding research statistics and data sets, I mentioned the latest news that today’s kids run a mile 30 seconds slower than their parents. The teen obesity topic piqued their interest and somehow led to a discussion of vanity sizing and Marilyn Monroe wearing a size 14. I can honestly say these kids had no idea that clothing sizes (among other labels) are arbitrary numbers.

It’s a shame my ego still hasn’t accepted that fact.
